My Calling

I was born in Ghana, West Africa, to the proud parents of Mr. and Mrs. J.O.Adarkwah.
My call into the ministry began at an early stage. As I may recall, I was very much moved during my early childhood by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and the impact my parents made upon me. My parents’ ministry and my own life at home were deeply grounded in a love that was so warm and genuine. I knew by then that whatever I spent my life doing, I wanted to be like my Daddy who was an Educator and a local Pastor with a genuine love for God, the family and the church he served

Education

I had most of my primary education in Ghana. I graduated from Sunyani Secondary School and Wesley College respectively. I migrated to the United States and enrolled at Lehman College, New York. While I was at Lehman College, I experienced the call of God to enter into Seminary. I enrolled in Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and graduated with Master of Divinity Degree in 2004. In 2005, I enrolled in Carolina Institute for Clinical Pastoral Training and graduated as a Clinical Pastoral Care Specialist.

Work Experience

Pastor

In 2002, I was officially appointed to Ghana Mission United Methodist church by the Western North Carolina Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church, USA. Since then, the emphasis of my pulpit ministry has been the careful study and verse-by-verse exposition of the Bible, with special attention devoted to the teaching and preaching of the Holy Scriptures.

My Family

I and my beloved wife, Janet, live in Charlotte. We have five children: Joshua, Jesse, Emmanuel, Benjamin and Elizabeth. In addition to being a dynamic teacher and preacher I enjoy riding bike and spending time with my family.
